Being
the virtual social butterfly I am, it was rather a drastic step to cut
contacts through Facebook and WhatsApp. The once addicted me, believed it was
terribly hard to give up the two things I love the most. But down below, deep
in my heart, I knew it was necessary. To sieve through the unwanted, and focus
on myself and my studies. My mother is still of the opinion that I’ve taken an extreme
step, but she’s oblivious to my discoveries during this time period of over a
month, (51+108 days precisely!)
Me,
who could not live without having a sneak peek into the FB window for over 10
minutes, have successfully lived merrily without it for 51 days straight!! Don’t
really know how that makes you feel, but certainly a BIG achievement for me!
For all those who might be wondering why I don’t reply them, or why I’ve cut
contact completely, do be patient if you really need to talk, for my entry back
into the virtual world would need a lot more time hence. I believe I’ve just
come 1/4th the way towards what I dearly wish to achieve, though the results
have been spectacular till now! Just beyond my imagination! Something that blew
up my mind, completely!
Most
of my friends still don’t know that I have been absconding for over a month, may God
Bless them.
Walking
this narrow path, I have realised a few things. Obvious ones though, but life
transforming! One tends to spin their lives around too many people, wanted or
unwanted. In turn, you too certainly are wanted or unwanted in their worlds.
It is simply discovered by such actions! Our perception towards each of
the person, including oneself changes. For, at the end of the day, you have to
come back to yourself. Wake up to yourself the following morning too! The
happenings in the meantime is all that makes a difference.
In
this time, my intuitions have grown sharper and more sensitive. I am enjoying
the endless free moments to be shared with myself and my likings. The very
first experience of putting oneself above everyone else, makes me feel great!
Though the difference between being selfish and selfless is now known. The
cleansing is taken up in full form! I am excited about the process I’ve gotten myself into. Wonderful people, books, and experiences are coming into my life. As if I’m a magnet!
The dormant qualities in me have come up to surface. My aims in life are
becoming clearer and so is my vision. As I type each word here, my happiness is
spilling all over the place. Filling me up with wonderful things and dreams
that are yet to be achieved!
The
volatile natured mind have stabilized to a great extent. Seldom there are
thought which are not happy. People we have around us definitely contribute
towards these feelings. So we need to certainly choose these people wisely,
because I deeply believe that we cannot lead a secluded life just to distance
yourself from the people who are not positive enough. Or avoid the ones who do not match up
your vibes! But the time of transition is always the time when the
metamorphosis (*laughs*) happens!
The
narrow path is going to take me to a land never seen before. It is going to be
a little part of the heaven that we all imagine of. With everyone happy around.
Lovely music. Energy spread across the space. Enthusiasm filling up every inch
of our hearts. A land where everyone would love to come. Just that the path
till there is under construction!

It happens to all some or the other day.. I am in a similar process, although I haven't taken that drastic step.. You start to feel that you are old now and life is no longer about likes and comments on FB or being online on WhatsApp.. As always awesome write-up.. I can totally relate to each work you have written..
Hope to see more of your writing.. 🙂
