It had been ages since my last cup of coffee. I think it was in Pondicherry, in Le Cafe! Almost after a year, I felt like grabbing a mug of coffee and a beloved book. A book which I had read and reread and it taught me something new every single time.
The very thought of sitting by the window and sipping through the coffee prepared especially for you, was blissful. Cherry on the top was the rain pitter-pattering outside. Just the beginning of the month of March, and the rains have marked their entry. Picture perfect that was.
A loud thunder distracted my attention and I looked outside. The garden was drenched. The soil smelled of freshness and looked cheerful. The birds chirping were audible when the rain was back to drizzling. The whole scenario seemed like a outer reflection of my inner world. Drenched with happiness and the smell of new beginnings round the corner. So many things told untold. The freshness of the garden portrayed the new sprouting dreams in the fertile soil of the possibilities.
A phone call brought me back from my daydreaming. The number certainly looked familiar. I chose not to answer any calls for a while. Wanted to keep quiet and preferred to be left alone. God bless the Flight Mode! Life is peaceful in a click of a button!
It had been the recent trend that I’ve met many genuine tea lovers! Who liked it the way I did. Loaded with ginger and lemon-grass and a hint of Sacred Basil. Brewed for exact number of minutes and strained in the tall mug. Elixir for few endless minutes to come.
But then, some I came across with a strong flavour of caffeine. So much that it may have intoxicated me. The distance I had maintained from the caffeine and lactose would have dissolved with a mere sip of it.
Choosing between people have always been the toughest task. They reflect the tiny me of myself. It is as if deciding upon which quality in oneself do we like the most?
